My Awards Program Entries
Sophisticated Living St. Louis is pleased to announce the inaugural, SOPHI Awards, celebrating the best and brightest in design, architecture, and builders in our city. The finalists and winners will be announced at the 2024 SOPHI Awards Gala on Wednesday, November 6th at 21c Museum Hotel and showcased in the November/December issue.

- The competition is open to all interior designers, architects, builders, and landscape architects regardless of professional society affiliation.
- Entrants must be based in the greater St. Louis and will have the opportunity to submit in one or more of 18 categories.
- Projects may be submitted that have been published previously. Submitted projects must have been completed between January 2020 to present. You may enter the same project in multiple categories.
How to Enter
Click the Register button on this page and create your account. Once you are signed in, you can register and pay for the categories that you wish to enter. Payments are required at registration.
After your register, it will direct you to your entry list page. You can complete your entry forms with your project details and upload all required elements for each individual entry during the entry management window. You may update existing entries and register for additional entries as often as you wish until the entry deadline of August 15th at 11:59 pm. Extended to August 29th.
Project Images, Naming and Project Description
Each entry must be accompanied by at least one (1) image and no more than eight (8), high-resolution images. Images must be a digital format (. jpeg /.png) with minimum resolution of 300dpi. Size of individual images can not exceed 10MB per image.
We recommend that photos be shot by a professional photographer and entrants must secure and submit royalty/reuse-free from their photographer before submitting images. Submitted photography may be published free of charge by Sophisticated Living’s November/December SOPHI Awards special issue. It’s the entrants responsibility to inform the photographer of these terms.
Each category submission should include a brief synopsis of the project. In about four or five sentences (no more than 450 words) detail the thinking behind the design and if you need a guideline, answer these questions:
· What was the intent of the design or project?
· What where the challenges on this project?
· What was the assignment?
· When was the project completed?
Do not include the name of your company, architect, builder, or designer in the description as the judging will be blind.
Registration Fees
Registration fees are as described:
- First Entry: $150
- Additional Entries: $100
Fees are payable at time of registration. There is no limit to the number of entries submitted.
Fees are non-refundable or transferable.
Judging
An independent panel of design experts out of the state of Missouri will determine the winners. Judges are drawn from media, and prominent names in design and architecture. The panel’s expertise will reflect a broad spectrum of relevant professionals including architecture, building, remodeling, interior design, and landscape design.
